About me
I have five years experience in instruction technology working in higher education. My work has spanned the realms of instructional design, evaluation and assessment, and technology implementation in higher education. My projects have included testing new technologies for teaching and learning and sharing their pedagogical advantages with teaching faculty members and instructors. In pursuit of this mission, I have conducted needs analysis, instructional design, and evaluation projects.
I recently completed my M.S. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University. Currently, I am an Instructional Designer at Indiana Wesleyan University. In my current position I hope to improve my faith, hone my instructional design skills, and use some of my science knowledge to design courses for their nursing program and other adult learning programs. In this role I am working with course writers and instructors (subject matter experts) to ensure courses are created in a way that meets the course's instructional objectives and the curriculum's goals. Also, I am designing the courses in a way that are consistent with adult learning theories and is conducive to learning online.
